We are living a special time of grace in preparation for the Bishops’ Synod that will take place in October 2018, on the theme: “The Young, the Faith, and Vocational Discernment”. This event brings us deep joy and challenges us as an Institute whose mission is the education of the young people. What is foreseen is a Synod in step with the young and for the young, a precious resource for the Church herself and for society; certainly not a problem.

Water changed my life!


Gangabai Akolkar, 55 years old, a resident of Marathwadi village, next to Ahmednagar, is much relieved today, thanks to the water project that brings water to her village. Three months ago, she had to walk for 2.5 kilometers to fetch water for her family. The “Water Project” was implemented by “Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra” (BGVK) and supported by Salesian Missions, USA.

Br Cahill Gleisner SDB, returned to the Lord after suffering a short but painful illness on Saturday 7th October. Br Cahill who had a great devotion praying the rosary all of his life, died on the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary. Br Gleisner was 87 years of age, and had been a professed Salesian Brother for 66 years.
