I’m reminded daily of just how blessed I am to be living this experience in Cambodia. This feeling truly grew while on a recent adventure with my colleagues and friends from Don Bosco Technical School as we travelled together to some beautiful parts of the Kingdom of Wonders.

Water changed my life!


Gangabai Akolkar, 55 years old, a resident of Marathwadi village, next to Ahmednagar, is much relieved today, thanks to the water project that brings water to her village. Three months ago, she had to walk for 2.5 kilometers to fetch water for her family. The “Water Project” was implemented by “Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra” (BGVK) and supported by Salesian Missions, USA.

What a year it has been so far! We have had our fill of violence, political upheavals, corruption and bribery in high places, scandals amid the pillars of society, massacres on London Bridge, on the streets of Manchester, in other countries, and murders of the aged and defenceless in our own. I think I will give up reading newspapers.

Br Cahill Gleisner SDB, returned to the Lord after suffering a short but painful illness on Saturday 7th October. Br Cahill who had a great devotion praying the rosary all of his life, died on the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary. Br Gleisner was 87 years of age, and had been a professed Salesian Brother for 66 years.
